Taking in the beautiful sun codes today as the SOULar winds come in and offer geomagnetic storms and auroras (winds are now blowing faster than 550 km/s (1.2 million mph, according to spaceweather.com). I am so thankful today concludes February, wow what a crazy, topsy turvy energetic month!! We have been consistently half in the upper planes (mental planes) half in the physical planes, sometimes being sucked up completely into the mental then placed partially back down in the physical, rinse, repeat. Here’s a typical scenario. We are walking, and there are deer in a nearby field. We stop to look at them and the deer become aware of the scrutiny and look round. The deer see us. If there’s something about our location or direction that bothers them, they may just leave, but often they don’t. Often they give it a little while and check us out. At this point one of us will normally speak to them, saying in a calm and clear voice that we mean them no harm, and we aren’t coming into their field. Usually at this point, the deer go back to whatever they were doing.

It’s being in something else, quite removed from the moment actually. No wonder another part of us hasn’t really gotten on so well with all the ‘be in the moment’ advice.
What if really being in the moment is more to do with a simple willingness to feel all that is moving through in any given moment …..even if it isn’t peaceful, or centered, or loving? Centered, loving and peaceful can only be real if it begins with an acknowledgment of what it isn’t.
