Come, Samhain season… threshold, entryway…embracing of the archetypal tide of descent. Come, season of dark, of Shadow.
The Dark as metaphor in soul or individuation work can, but doesn’t have to only mean repressed or disembodied material. It also suggests unpotentiated, as in latent or undeveloped energy. In this way, we enter the dark dance with our own shadows understanding another metaphor:
