We Are All Just Walking Each Other Home – On An Epic Journey To Ithaca

by Edith Boyer-Telmer

Dear Friends,
just last month we have experienced an intense Libra Full Moon, which steered the collective attention towards our powerful desire for social justice, a need for economic equality, a life in dignity for all beings, and for love that is pure. For the upcoming 3years, in order to truly bring the Golden Age of Aquarius into realization, we will have to make daily more decisions for the good of the collective. Very often for the price of willingly overruling our ego!
That fact reminded me of the story of Odysseus and his long journey back home. In the coming years, we will have to stay clear and focused on putting step by step into action what this planet, humanity and all other beings truly need for a sustainable living. That will bring a couple of challenges into the game, which we probably only can master, if we are aware of the art of authentically holding each others hand in peaceful equality.

The magic that gleams an instant between Argos and Odysseus is both the recognition of diversity and the need for affection across the illusions of form. It is nature’s cry to homeless, far-wandering, insatiable man: “Do not forget your brethren, nor the green wood from which you sprang. To do so is to invite disaster.

ITHACA – by Constantine P. Cavafy
When you start on your journey to Ithaca,
Then pray that the road is long,
Full of adventure,
full of knowledge .

Do not fear the Lestrygonians
And the Cyclopes
and the angry Poseidon.

You will never meet such as these on your path,
if your thoughts remain lofty ,
if a fine emotion touches your body and your spirit.

You will never meet the Lestrygonians,
The Cyclopes and the fierce Poseidon,
If you do not carry them within your soul,
If your soul does not raise them up before you. Then pray that the road is long.
That the summer mornings are many,
That you will enter ports seen for the first time
with such pleasure, with such joy !

Stop at Phoenician markets,
and purchase fine merchandise,
mother of pearl and corals,
amber and ebony.

And pleasurable perfumes of all kinds,
buy as many pleasurable perfumes as you can;
visit hosts of Egyptian cities,
to learn and learn from those who have knowledge.

Always keep Ithaca fixed in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.

It is better to let it last for long years;
and even to anchor at the isle when you are old,
rich with all that you have gained on the way,

Not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.
Ithaca has given you the beautiful voyage.
Without her you would never have taken the road.

But she has nothing to give you.
And if you find her poor,
Ithaca has not defrauded you.

With the great wisdom you have gained,
with so much experience….
you must surely have understood by then
what Ithaca means.

But you must know that only he who fights the darkness within will the day after tomorrow have his own share in the sun.
Odysseus Elytis
Dear ones, I truly hope that all the intense stellar events of the past few month have done their work, and have collectively opened our minds for the deeper realities of the epic journey we are all together on. I hope you are taking the time to enjoy every single step of the way and to feel every minute of taking the long way home.
Love and Blissful Travels!
Edith
