How I Learned to Calm My Mind

This is me right now. 2,000 miles away from Texas, my new home. And yet, this sweet, Californian soil still feels much more like home. Watching the golden leaves dance, dance down to the Earth. Here, I feel lush, alive, full, abundant. I feel nurtured. My stomach is calm. I am healing.
Toward the beginning of the year, I struggled through a nasty attack of h-pylori, and never fully recovered. And though I was trying my best to heal with probiotics, a gentle diet, and a meditative mind, something still wasn’t right. I had recently moved across the country, and I still wasn’t comfortable. I was stressed. I missed my family and my hometown.
I knew what I had to do. In order to heal my body, my mind first had to be calm. I had to be happy. And so, fuzzy dog in hand, I boarded an airplane, and flew home to the fertile California valley. Read more

Waking Times

Many have speculated that our consciousness is activated during daydreaming. Past research has shown that the brain seems to contain a “default mode” in which certain regions become more active at rest. While moments for reflection may be hard to come by, a new study suggests that the long-lost art of introspection — even daydreaming — may be an increasingly valuable part of socioemotional functioning.

In the article, published in the July issue of Perspectives on Psychological Science, a journal of the Association for Psychological Science, psychological scientist Mary Helen Immordino-Yang and colleagues survey the existing scientific literature from neuroscience and psychological science, exploring what it means when our brains are ‘at rest.’ Read more

Astrology November 10, 2011: Full Moon in Taurus

10 Thursday Nov 2011

COSMIC WATCH:

A Full Moon in slow-moving, earthy Taurus today, at 18 degrees (3:17 pm EST), puts a focus on finding contentment and enjoyment in the simpler things of life. It also places a spotlight on our values and can give us insight and clarity on how we are managing our personal resources. Too, what we attract to us is often a reflection of what we value. Maybe If we are unhappy or unfulfilled with what we have surrounding us at this Full Moon, it could be that we need to go inside ourselves and take a closer look at where we have been putting our focus lately. Perhaps we have been putting our attention in the wrong areas, investing our time and energy in the wrong things, and we need to make some adjustments now.  Full Moons can trigger crises and turning points in consciousness.            Hilarion’s Weekly Message 2011

October 30 – November 6, 2011

Beloved Ones,

Many changes are taking place within you during these times. Your cells are being changed to facilitate the transformation of your body into a less dense physical body. This will be a lengthy process well into the year of 2012 and even beyond. All depends upon the progression and readiness of each individual as they continue on their spiritual journey of experience on Earth. Some of you will be transformed fairly quickly and will be the Templates of example for those who come to this process at a later time.

Each of you have taken on the task of the transformation of your physical being on all levels, even though most of you do not really know what it will entail. Still, you have chosen Ascension in your physical body and so the changes within you continue to occur. During these times, the downloads of new energies continue to spiral through you, creating a greater frequency within you which in turn activates dormant RNA/DNA strands that sets into motion, profound change.

Know that you are always supported and assisted by your Family of Light. Read the rest of this entry »
